THE MANOR HOUSE AND THE RURAL HOUSES

Villa Catalfamo is a timeless place where hospitality is completely immersed in the Sicilian atmosphere and it offers to the guests a real contact with the nature.
The scent of the Sicilian earth, the wonderful colours of the nature and the sweet sound of the sea make Villa Catalfamo an enchanting place.
The rural houses are completely immersed in the Mediterranean countryside and here you can find fragrant sea lilies and jasmines, olives trees and carob trees, mandarin oranges, lemon trees, oranges, Indian figs, cicas, bouganville, palms and aloe arborescens, plants of liquorice and thyme.

All the rural houses are restructured in a simple way, full furnished, and comfortable.
The houses are about 50 metres by the sea.
At Villa Catalfamo it is possible on request to organize courses of Italian and Sicilian cuisine, and also ceramic and painting courses.

The manor house is a good example of aristocratic country house and it has been built in 18th Century.
Its architecture was typically used in the Sicilian countries and it derived from the Spanish 18th architecture.
The beautiful courtyard is made by sea pebbles and “lumachella” stones.
In the courtyard we can find also an old oil-presser made on stone.
The house has also ancient gutters, tiles and flooring-tiles made in the Sicilian ceramic of S.Stefano di Camastra and Collesano.
The farm is crossed by an ancient system of irrigation
